4.1 Task:
Can a river be used to generate electricity?
Trapped water (a dam) in the mountains can be pumped via pressure lines into a valley and use this force to drive turbines and generators producing electricity . A lot of water flows on a plateau but it's very flat. How can water be used to produce energy in flat areas with a river power plant?
Draw a picture (diagram) of a hydroelectric power plant (storage power plant with a dam) and a river power plant with a key and explain in a short paragraph the difference between the two power plants.

4.2 Task:
Who are Francis, Pelton, Kaplan and Co.?
What did they invent and when and where can it be used?
Try making a model of each of the individual turbines and explaining in a short paragraph how they work and in which places they function best.

4.3 Task:
Energy storage?
Can energy be stored if too much has been produced in order to then sell it later at an appropriate time?
Try to answer the question with your own picture (diagram) with a key and a short paragraph.
