...invent: Let the flowers bloom

With this task, you'll amaze the others: The white flowers colour themselves in water.

	Blooming flowers Material Handkerchiefs skewers Scissors Adhesive tape Amazing felt-tips you know from "... explore"
	Cut the handkerchief in two squares and four rectangulars along the folds. With these cuts, you can create flowers.
	Fix a small rectangular on the blunt side of the skewer with tape.
	Roll the paper around the skewer and fix it with tape.
	Put some colour in the middle of the square. Insert the skewer in the middle of the stain until the papers touch.
	Fold the square together to make a closed flower.
	Draw some green on to the big rectangular. Put the skewer with flower on the paper.
	With tape, fix the long rectangular on the flower so that the papers touch and the colour is hidden once the paper is rolled around the skewer.
	Wrap the paper tightly around the skewer and fix it with a long strip of tape. Make sure that the water can go through the stem and that the colour of the flower is not seen.
	You now need some water and your creative talent, it may not work the first time. On the picture, you can see a stem and a green leaf. How could you realise that? When the flower is dry, you can separate the layers of paper. The flower is then in bloom like on the picture below.
	Your flower wonder Create your own flowers and make them "bloom". Try out several shapes of flowers.

Invent: Some colours aren't taken away by water such as non-soluble colours. With help of soluble and non-soluble felt-tips you can write secret messages on paper.
	Messages secrets With help of a non-soluble felt-tip, write a secret message on a blotting paper. Cover the message with soluble felt-tip. When the paper is wet, the secret message appears. Make your own test on the appropriate paper.
